Here’s an image of Mars from last night taken in fairly good conditions, despite heavy, freezing dew (aka frost). I had to defrost the scope with a hair dryer at one point.
These image, taken over about half an hour, shown with North up, show Syrtis Major near the meridian and a good view of the Hellas basin. The Gomer Sinus is just rotating aout of view to the right with Olympus Mons just barely visible near the evening terminator. The melting of the northern polar hood continues and should reveal the polar cap underneath in the coming weeks.
Taken with the C14, ASI290m, and Astronomik filters.
