We had one final night of good conditions last night. This shot shows the Great Red Spot (GRS) near the meridian. Oval BA is nearly at conjunction with the GRS, but it’s become so faint that unless you’re already familiar with BA, you probably don’t see it (it’s the pale spot just below and to the left of the GRS). As some have noted, the GRS has shrunk substantially in recent years and now, when coupled with the GRS hollow, has taken-on an interesting “eyeball” shape.
